Jim Todd has been creating distinct furniture pieces and living accessories since 1990.
Materials are carefully chosen domestic and exotic woods, often with accents of coloured lacquer or metal.
Designs are articulate, architectural and animated, with studied proportions that will speak to you when you enter the room, and keep that conversation going for generations.
Construction methods utilize traditional hand skills, which are blended with the dexterity of today's manufacturing techniques. End results are refined, fresh and uncluttered.
Home is the village of Damascus, northwest of Toronto Ontario, in a 1½ storey Victorian house built by his wife's great-uncle in 1886.
In 2000, Jim single-handedly built his dream shop; it has been cooking ever since.
Happy distractions are his family and making a killer pop song.
